One of the unique aspects of this design is the elimination of unnecessary spaces to create a transparent and open atmosphere. The flow line of the space has been meticulously planned to not only enhance the visual appeal but also ensure functionality for the clients. By combining different materials, such as sintered stones for the living room walls and metal materials for the TV wall, the designers have created a seamless connection between different areas.
The use of natural materials, such as white painted woodworks, adds a touch of warmth to the space. The TV wall, constructed with metal materials, extends to the ceiling, creating a sense of expansion and reflection. The designers have also incorporated elements of nature, such as rural mountain scenery, by removing excessive iron stands and allowing the windows to frame the outside view.
Throughout the design, the connection between the clients' spirit and the functional or display items has been a key focus. The TV wall, for example, uses low chroma colors to create a serene ambiance, while crystal lamps and a piano add a touch of elegance. The shimmering lights from the crystal reflect on the sintered stones and the piano, creating a beautiful interplay between past memories and the present.
The design team at Yui Design has carefully researched and measured the space, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully considered. The concept of a gallery has been infused into the design, with metal slabs used to construct display cabinets and showcase the clients' collection. The result is an artistic living space that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.
Completed in February 2020 in Xindian, New Taipei City, Taiwan, this design has received recognition for its creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. Art and Chanson Overbrimming is not just a residential design; it is a reflection of life and memories. With its careful attention to detail and the incorporation of the clients' personal touch, this design creates a space that is both beautiful and meaningful.
